Pen & ink drawing, mid-1990s. This work was later adapted for a large colorful acrylic canvas. Both undated works reflect Flora's mid-1990s techniques and media. The painting was recently photographed and is being considered for reproduction in our next anthology.

ReplyDeleteOh yeah, man - reproduce this one. Love that tropical voodoo vibe. It's also quite inspiring to see what a man can do with JUST a pen, ink, and paper. A whole world created from the mind with pure, simple media.
ReplyDeleteThis hailing from the 90s, is it possible that Mr. Flora was utilizing a more modern type of pen, as opposed to a dip pen? I can't quite tell from this image.
